Description
Four millimetre hematite beads with an iridescent finish that throws green, violet and gold as the light moves. Worth saying where the color comes from: on beads at this price it is a thin metallic coating on hematite rather than the naturally iridescent hematite found in a few Brazilian and Minnesotan deposits, which is rare and does not reach bead strands.
The stone underneath is the real thing. Hematite is iron oxide, dense enough that you notice it immediately, and it takes its name from haima, Greek for blood, because a hematite streak comes off rust red however silver the surface looks.
Worked for grounding and focus, and the weight is most of the practice. The color makes it the version people wear who find plain hematite too severe.
