How to choose your first (or fortieth) tarot deck

Every tarot deck follows the same 78-card structure: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana across four suits. Learn the system once and you can read with any of them. So choose with your eyes. If the art makes you want to sit with it, you'll practice more, and practice is how readers are made. Beginners often do best with a deck that shows a full scene on every card, since the pictures do half the teaching.
