Handmade Embossed Stone Leather Diary 9x6 Inch

A leather journal at 9 by 6 inches, which is close to A5 and about the largest size you can still put in a bag without thinking about it. The cover is embossed and set with stone, and the whole thing is bound by hand.

This is the size to buy if you write at length. A pocket journal makes you edit as you go. This one does not.

What You Are Getting

200 pages, which is 100 sheets, of thick off-white acid-free paper, unlined throughout. It takes ink and pencil without going through. 9 by 6 inches, roughly 23 by 15 cm. The binding is refillable, so the cover outlives the paper.

Good to Know

Leather is a hide, so every cover takes the grain and the dye differently and no two are the same. Marks and creases are not faults in a journal like this; they are the reason it looks the way it does in a year. A brass clasp stiffens for the first few weeks and then settles.

Acid-free paper is what stops a journal going brittle and brown at the edges the way cheap wood-pulp paper does. Lignin is the other half of that story, and acid-free on its own is not a promise of no yellowing at all. It still matters more than the cover does if you intend to keep the thing.
