Warrior Skull Mug
Description
A skull in a war helm, with a sword for a handle, cast in resin around a removable stainless steel insert. Just under six inches.
A drinking vessel shaped like a skull is not a modern gothic invention. Skull cups turn up across a great many cultures and periods, sometimes as trophies and sometimes as a way of keeping an ancestor at the table. This is the descendant of that, made in resin and safely lined.
Good to Know
5.75 by 4.125 by 4.25 inches. Cold cast resin with a removable stainless steel insert.
The resin body is not food safe and not dishwasher or microwave safe, which is exactly why the steel insert is removable. Drink from the insert, hand wash the insert, and wipe the outside with a damp cloth. Treat the resin as sculpture that happens to hold a cup.
Fine for hot drinks. The steel insert takes the heat and the resin holds it, so a coffee stays hot in one of these considerably longer than in a thin china mug.
Pair It With
The Viking Ship Mug is the other one in the same line. For a darker shelf, the Medusa statue and the Book of the Dead journal. Fill it with Blackberry Moon.
