Description
A crescent cut from opalite on an adjustable cord. Opalite is man made glass and we say so on every listing that carries it, because the name borrows from opal and the two are unrelated.
What it does have is a real optical effect. Held against a light the crescent goes warm amber; held against something dark it goes cool blue. That is Rayleigh scattering, the same physics behind a blue sky and an orange sunset, happening inside a piece of glass. On a moon shape it is a well chosen accident, since the moon does the same trick.
