Description
Red Cedarwood has long been considered a sacred tree, and its flakes carry that same potent energy. These aromatic wood shavings release a warm, earthy scent when burned, deeply grounding, protective, and spiritually cleansing. Used in Indigenous traditions across North America, red cedar is known to banish negative energy, call in ancestral protection, and create a boundary between the sacred and the mundane.
Burn it during home cleansings, threshold rituals, or when casting a circle. It’s especially powerful for setting boundaries, honoring ancestors, and fortifying your space before or after heavy emotional work. Red cedar’s energy is firm but nurturing, it doesn’t just push energy out, it helps restore spiritual structure.
Red Cedarwood flakes can also be used in herbal bundles, spell bags, or added to loose incense blends with resins, flowers, or herbs. It pairs beautifully with juniper, frankincense, myrrh, or rosemary.
