Polyresin T-Light Holder Moon Goddess

A goddess figure with her arms raised over her head, and the ring of her arms is where the tea light sits. Cast polyresin. It takes any standard tea light, the aluminum cup kind you buy a hundred at a time.

The raised arms are doing the work. Putting the flame inside the ring of her arms, rather than on a dish in front of her, makes the light the thing she is offering instead of the thing she is guarding. On a dark shelf you see the flame first and the figure second, which is the right order.

Most people buy this for new moon and full moon work and then find it stays lit on ordinary nights, because a single tea light is the cheapest possible way to make a surface read as an altar rather than a shelf. If you keep a practice that involves sitting down and doing nothing for ten minutes, this is a good object to sit down in front of.

Good to Know

Cast polyresin, which means it holds fine detail and it will chip if you drop it on tile. Fits standard tea lights. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and give the resin a minute to cool before you move it.
