Peppermint White Chocolate Loose Leaf Tea | Creamy Green & White Tea Blend

Cooling and creamy at once, which is a harder trick than it sounds. Sencha and white tea make a smooth, low base, peppermint cuts straight through it, and the white chocolate notes round the whole thing off without turning it into a dessert.

It is the lightest-tasting caffeinated tea on the shelf and the most obviously comforting, which makes it the winter morning cup and the after-ritual cup in about equal measure.

What's In It

Sencha green tea, grassy and clean, the steamed Japanese style rather than the pan-fired Chinese one. White tea, the fewest processing steps of any leaf, subtle and faintly sweet. Peppermint leaf, clearing and cool. White chocolate and mint chocolate chips for the creamy note. Natural flavoring to round the profile.

Spiritual Properties

Worked with for clarity that does not come at the cost of comfort. Peppermint clears a space in folk practice and the chocolate is simply kindness, and there is no reason a cup cannot do both.

To Brew

One tablespoon per cup, water around 175F rather than boiling, and two to three minutes. Green and white leaf scorch in fully boiling water and turn bitter, which is the single thing most people get wrong with them.

Good to Know

Contains caffeine, from the sencha and white tea. Less than a black tea, more than none.

Drink It With
