Sweet Orange Oil | Simple Joy & Bright Rooms

Sweet, round and immediately recognizable. The smell of peeling an orange, with no bitterness behind it.

What It Is
Citrus sinensis, cold pressed from the peel. A byproduct of the juice industry, which is why it costs a fraction of what most oils do.

In the Craft
Orange is a prosperity and joy oil, worked in abundance and money-drawing. Orange peel turns up in hoodoo prosperity mixes and in Yule and midwinter blends, where the fruit stands for the sun at the darkest point of the year.

How to Work With It

• Diffuse to lift a room, especially in winter.
• Anoint a candle for prosperity, joy or new opportunity.
• Blend with cinnamon or clove for a midwinter scent.
• Add a drop to a floor wash for a house that has gone stale.

Safety. For external use only. Essential oils are highly concentrated: always dilute in a carrier oil before skin contact and patch test first. Never take internally. Keep away from children and pets. Ask a qualified practitioner before use if you are pregnant, nursing, or managing a medical condition. Cold pressed citrus oils can increase sun sensitivity. Keep treated skin out of direct sun for 12 hours.
