What It Is
Cedrus atlantica, steam distilled from wood. From the Atlas mountains of Morocco, where the tree is now protected, so responsibly sourced material matters here.

In the Craft
Cedar is the guardian wood in Indigenous North American, Celtic and Levantine practice alike, burned to bless a new home and to hold a boundary. Solomon's temple was built of cedar. It clears without stripping, which is the practical difference from white sage.

How to Work With It

• Anoint the corners of a room, or the frame of a front door.
• Diffuse when moving into a new place, or after a hard clearing.
• Dilute and wear for grounding when you feel scattered.
• Add a drop to a protection candle before you light it.
