Native Soul Incense | White Sage & Cedar
Description
Sage gives this its bite and cedar gives it the long tail. Cedar is the smell of a lined chest or a well built porch, and it hangs around in a room for hours after the stick is out.
That lingering is the point. Cedar has been burned as a guarding wood across a lot of traditions, including many Native nations of North America, partly for what it smells like and partly for what it does: the resin in it keeps moths and rot out of a chest, and people drew the obvious conclusion about what else it might keep out.
This is the one to burn at a doorway or in a hallway, where the whole house moves through the smoke.

Try It With
Cedar bundles for the wood on its own and juniper, which is cedar’s nearest relative on this shelf and does a similar job. More in protection and warding.
Safety
Burn on a heat safe holder in a ventilated room. Never leave burning incense unattended, keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable, and let the ash cool fully before you empty it.
