Soul Sticks - Myrrh Incense

Myrrh is the resin of a thorny desert tree, tapped from the bark and dried into dark tears. The Egyptians used it to embalm, and it was one of the three gifts carried to Bethlehem. It is the heavier half of the frankincense and myrrh pairing: where frankincense rises, myrrh settles and holds. That is what makes it the resin for endings, for boundaries, and for sitting with something hard without flinching. Burned alongside frankincense it rounds out into the full church smell most of us know in our bones.

How to Use It

Light the tip, let it catch, blow out the flame and set the stick in a holder. Burn one at the start of shadow work or a protection working, or on the anniversary you still mark. One stick is plenty; myrrh is strong and stays in the fabric of a room.

Good to Know

Burn on a heat safe holder in a ventilated room. Never leave it unattended, keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable, and let the ash cool fully before you empty it.
