Description
A goddess figure with her arms raised, holding a rainbow moonstone triangle overhead, with a spiral marked on her belly. Two inches long in sterling silver.
The figure is a very old shape. Arms up, body full, no face: that outline turns up in the Neolithic across Anatolia and the Balkans and southeastern Europe, in clay and in stone, thousands of years before anyone was writing about goddesses. The spiral is one of the oldest marks humans make at all, cut into the kerbstones at Newgrange five thousand years ago and into rock in a dozen unconnected places.
Rainbow moonstone is not strictly moonstone, it is a white labradorite, which is why its flash is sharp electric blue rather than the softer drifting glow of true moonstone. Held overhead by a figure with no face, it does the work of the piece.
How to Wear It
- Two inches and light for the size. They move when you do, which is most of the effect.
- Worn for cycles rather than for a single occasion.
- Charge the moonstone in moonlight. Sterling tarnishes and takes a cloth.
Wear It With
See the matching Garnet Goddess earrings and the Rainbow Moonstone chip bracelet.
Sterling silver setting. Natural stone, so color, pattern and the exact shape of the piece vary, and the one you receive will not be identical to the photograph. Approximately 2 inches.
