Dragon's Blood 7 Day Jar Candle

Dragon's blood is the resin of the Daemonorops palm, red as its name suggests, and it has been traded along the same routes as frankincense and myrrh for a very long time. In practice it is an amplifier. Whatever working you attach it to, it makes louder, which is why it turns up in protection, love, and power work alike rather than belonging to any one of them.

Clear glass jar, 8.25 by 2.5 inches, single wick, filled to about 7 inches so the melted wax has somewhere to gather on first lighting. Roughly seven days of continuous burn.

How to Work It

Because dragon's blood amplifies, decide what you are amplifying before you light it. A vague intention gets louder, not clearer. Burn it alongside a specific working rather than on its own, and give the first lighting long enough for the wax to pool across the full width, which is what stops a jar candle from tunnelling for the rest of the week.

Safety

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from drafts, children, pets, and anything flammable, and set the jar on a heat safe surface. Glass gets hot. Stop burning when about half an inch of wax remains.
