Devil Black Candle 7 1/2"
Description
The black devil figure candle has two established uses and they are less contradictory than they look. The common one is banishing. You name the influence you want out of your home or your life, put it into the figure, and burn it away. The devil here is the thing being removed, not the thing being asked.
The second use belongs to folk traditions where the figure at the crossroads is a bargainer and a teacher rather than the Christian adversary, and the candle is burned in dedication work. If that is not your practice, the first use stands entirely on its own and is what most people buy this for.
How to Work It
Be precise about what the figure represents before you light it, because this is the candle where a vague intention causes the most confusion. Carve the name of what you are banishing into the wax. Anoint it with an oil chosen for the purpose, working away from you. Burn it where you can watch it, and dispose of the remains off your property rather than in your own bin.
Try It With
Dress it with Medusa's Protection Diffuser Oil and clear the room first with Nightbane Resin Incense. Pack the base with Mullein to protect the practitioner. More in our hex breaking and reversal collection.
Good to Know
7.5 inches. Sizes, shapes, and coloring vary slightly between pours.
Safety
Figure candles burn unevenly by design and can slump as the form softens. Use a heat safe dish with a lip, keep the flame in sight, and keep it clear of drafts, children, pets, and fabric.
