Rune Set - Bloodstone

Bloodstone is dark green flecked with red jasper, and from Pliny onward the lapidaries said it staunched bleeding, which is why Roman soldiers are said to have carried it. That is the closest fit in the whole range to what the Elder Futhark actually is: an alphabet used by people who expected to fight. If you read for courage, conflict or a decision with a cost, this is the set.

What You Are Getting

Twenty-five hand carved stones with an information card. Twenty-four of them are the Elder Futhark, the oldest runic alphabet, in use across Germanic Europe from roughly the second century. The twenty-fifth is blank.

About that blank rune. It is not ancient. Ralph Blum popularised it in The Book of Runes in 1982 and it has been in almost every commercial set since. Some readers use it for the unknowable and some take it straight back out of the bag. Both are defensible, and you should know which you are doing rather than find out mid-reading.
