Black Male Figure Candle 8"
Description
Black is the color of banishing, reversal, and protection. It absorbs rather than radiates, which is why it turns up in every tradition's defensive work, and paired with the male figure it is most often used to shield a specific man or to cut off what has attached itself to him.
It also works the other direction. In protective practice the black figure can represent the thing you are pushing away, in which case naming it correctly matters more than anything else you do with the candle.
How to Work It
Decide before you light it whether the figure is the person you are protecting or the influence you are removing. Those are opposite workings on the same object. Name it out loud, carve the name and your symbols into the wax, and dress it with oil from the top down for banishing. Burn it in stages, and dispose of the remains off your property when the work is finished.
Try It With
Dress it with Medusa's Protection Diffuser Oil and pack the base with Mullein, which is traditionally worked to protect the practitioner doing the work. Clear the room afterward with Nightbane Resin Incense. More in our protection and warding collection.
Good to Know
8 inches. Sizes, shapes, and coloring vary slightly between pours.
Safety
Figure candles burn unevenly by design and can slump as the form softens. Use a heat safe dish with a lip, keep the flame in sight, and keep it clear of drafts, children, pets, and fabric.
