BigFoot's Mystical Night Tapestry

This is the one that makes people laugh and then buy it. Bigfoot occupies a specific and slightly beloved place in North American folklore: not a god, not a demon, just something large that might be out there and has never quite been ruled out. The word itself is borrowed: sasq'ets, from Halq'eméylem, spoken in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, brought into English by a schoolteacher named J. W. Burns in 1929. The traditions behind it are older and more serious than the roadside-attraction version, and the modern Bigfoot is its own thing entirely: a creature people are still, in earnest, out in the woods looking for.

Smaller than a bed-size tapestry, which makes it right for a door, a dorm wall, a stairwell, a camper, or the wall behind a desk where something deadpan is exactly what is wanted.
