Description
Lepidolite is a mica, which means it grows in sheets you can peel apart with a fingernail. The lilac color comes from manganese. It is also a genuine lithium ore and was one of the first minerals anyone mined for that element. Because mica is soft, lepidolite beads are usually stabilized so they can survive being drilled and worn.
Its reputation is for transition, which is more specific than calm. Lepidolite gets reached for in the middle of a move, a separation, a job change, the stretch where the old shape is gone and the new one has not arrived.
