Raven's Earl Grey | Smooth Citrus & Vanilla Black Tea

Smooth black tea, bright bergamot, and a soft vanilla note underneath that takes the edge off the citrus. Good on its own and good with milk, which not every Earl Grey is.

Bergamot is a citrus grown mainly along the coast of Calabria, and the peel oil is what makes an Earl Grey an Earl Grey. There are half a dozen competing stories about how it got into English tea in the first place, all of them involving the second Earl Grey and none of them documented, which is a fair description of most tea history.

What's In It

Black tea, bergamot oil, and vanilla. Nothing else, and nothing hiding.

Spiritual Properties

Worked with for clarity and for finding your own voice in a room. The cup for the morning you have to say the difficult thing, and equally for the afternoon you have earned.

To Brew

One tablespoon per cup. Black tea wants water just off the boil and three to four minutes, no longer, or the tannins take over and it goes bitter. Strain and take it with milk or without.
