The Crone Herbal Intention Candles 6 inch tapers

Herbal dressed tapers for the Crone, the third face of the Triple Goddess and the one held to the dark moon.

Maiden, Mother, Crone is a modern framework rather than an ancient one. Robert Graves shaped it in The White Goddess in 1948 and Wicca carried it from there. Saying so does not weaken it. What it gets right is that a life has phases and that the last one is not a decline, it is the part where you finally know something.

Work with her on the dark moon, at endings, and for the decisions that need experience rather than energy.

What You Are Getting

Six inch taper, about five hours of burn in still air. Sold as a pair. These are dressed with herbs on the outside of the wax, so the color runs differently from batch to batch and yours will not match the photograph exactly.

Safety

Dressed candles carry dry herb on the wax and they can flare. Keep the flame in sight, set the candle in a holder that catches drip on a heatproof surface, and keep it away from drafts, curtains, children and pets. Trim the wick to a quarter inch before each burn. Never leave it burning unattended.
