Medusa Herbal Intention Candles

Herbal dressed tapers for Medusa, scented with myrtle and pine.

The version worth working with is Ovid's, where Medusa is a woman punished for what was done to her and given a face nobody can look at. Modern practice has reclaimed that almost entirely: she is worked with for protection, for boundaries that hold without explanation, and for turning a stare back on whoever is doing the staring.

This is a candle for the person who has been made to feel like the problem.

What You Are Getting

Six inch taper, about five hours of burn in still air. Sold as a pair. These are dressed with herbs on the outside of the wax, so the color runs differently from batch to batch and yours will not match the photograph exactly.

Safety

Dressed candles carry dry herb on the wax and they can flare. Keep the flame in sight, set the candle in a holder that catches drip on a heatproof surface, and keep it away from drafts, curtains, children and pets. Trim the wick to a quarter inch before each burn. Never leave it burning unattended.
