Agrimony | Shield from Curses
Description
Associations
Planet: Sun
Element: Air
Astrological Sign: Leo
Chakra: Solar Plexus
Deities: Artemis
Description
Also sold as Sticklewort, Cocklebur and Church Steeples. Agrimony is traditionally worked with to shield against curses, hexes, and ill will directed your way. In folk practice, it is associated with reversal, sending negativity back to where it came from rather than absorbing it.
Plant Context
Agrimony's small, hooked seed pods cling to whatever brushes past them, a trait long read as a signature of return, sending back whatever comes into contact with it.
In the Hand
Dusty green cut leaf and stem with the small hooked burrs still in the mix. Dry and faintly hay-scented, it scatters cleanly for perimeter work and holds its shape in a sachet.
Work with it
Hang a small bundle near your front door, carry on the body during times you feel targeted by ill will, add to protection sachets alongside devil's claw or black salt, or sprinkle around the perimeter of a space before ritual work.
Important Notes
Sold for its traditional folkloric and metaphysical associations only. Not a drug, supplement, or medicine, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent anything. For ritual use only.
This herb is packaged in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department.
Sold in 1/2 ounce packages.
