Morrigan The Irish Goddess Of War And Magic

The Morrigan is a shapeshifter, most often a crow, and her name is usually read as either great queen or phantom queen. In the Ulster Cycle she turns up before a battle to tell you how it ends, which is not the same as causing it.

She is not simply a war goddess. Sovereignty runs through everything she does: the land and its rightful king are the same question, and she is the one who decides it. Work with her for prophecy, for sovereignty over your own life, and for the point where you stop asking permission. In some sources she is one figure and in others she is three, and both readings have been current for a very long time.
