Lilith is the one who would not lie down. The older story has her made from the same earth as Adam and leaving the garden rather than accept second place, and everything she has come to mean since runs off that single refusal. She is worked with for sovereignty, for the part of you that will not be managed, and for the anger that turns out to have been self-respect all along.

Light one when you are about to hold a line somebody would rather you did not hold.

What You Are Getting

Six inch taper, about five hours of burn in still air. Sold as a pair. These are dressed with herbs on the outside of the wax, so the color runs differently from batch to batch and yours will not match the photograph exactly.

Safety

Dressed candles carry dry herb on the wax and they can flare. Keep the flame in sight, set the candle in a holder that catches drip on a heatproof surface, and keep it away from drafts, curtains, children and pets. Trim the wick to a quarter inch before each burn. Never leave it burning unattended.
