Description
Rainbow moonstone is not, strictly speaking, moonstone. It is a white labradorite, and the flash it throws is labradorescence rather than the adularescence of true moonstone, which is why the blue in it is sharper and can carry other colors alongside. The trade name has been in use long enough that arguing about it is a losing position, but it is worth knowing what you have: this is the one that flashes electric blue, not the one that glows milky.

Most of it comes from southern India, and the black flecks running through the chips are biotite inclusions, which are entirely normal.

Worked for lunar cycles, for the feminine in whatever sense a practitioner means it, and for intuition that arrives in flashes rather than steadily. That last part suits the stone, which lights up at one angle and then does not.
