Angelite is anhydrite: calcium sulfate without the water, in the massive fine grained blue Peruvian form. Nothing about it is compressed, whatever the trade name implies. Left in water long enough it takes water back at the surface and turns toward gypsum, which is slow rather than instant and is still the reason not to cleanse this one in water. Use smoke or sound instead.
