A limpia is a spiritual cleansing practiced across many Latin American and Indigenous cultures. What it involves varies with the tradition and the practitioner: herbs, smoke, prayer, water, an egg. The purpose is consistent though. It clears what has built up, whether that reads to you as negative energy, emotional heaviness or a blockage, and most people leave steadier than they arrived.

It is a short, physical, unmysterious thing to receive. Thirty minutes. You are not required to believe anything in particular for it to be worth doing.

The Offerings

Limpia Cleanse, $50, 30 minutes. Your choice of mapacho smoke, an intuitive flower bundle, or egg. Mapacho is Amazonian tobacco, Nicotiana rustica, and that option means tobacco burning in the room for half an hour. Choose the flower bundle or the egg instead if you are pregnant, asthmatic, or sensitive to smoke.

Shamanic Journey Session, $85, 60 minutes. A guided experience using meditation, intention and rhythm to help you reach your own inner wisdom and whatever allies come with it. People come out of these having released something, reconnected with themselves, or got an answer on a question they have been circling. No experience needed; an open mind and a clear intention will do. A connection call is required before the appointment.

Shamanic Power Animal Retrieval, $95, 60 minutes. A journey undertaken on your behalf to find the power animal ready to work with you. In many shamanic traditions these represent qualities like courage, resilience, wisdom and intuition, and the usual reason people come is that stress, grief or a big transition has cut them off from one of those. Afterward you get the messages and the symbolism, plus practical ways to keep the connection going. A connection call is required before the appointment.

Good to Know

The two shamanic sessions both require a connection call first; that is not a formality, it is how the session gets built. All sessions are in person at Wild Raven's Nest, 602 N Rockwall Ave in Terrell. Book through this page. If the time you want is not showing, message us and we will see what we can do.

Worth saying: these draw on more than one lineage. The limpia belongs to Mesoamerican curanderismo, while mapacho and the journey work come out of Amazonian practice. We are not going to pretend that is all one tradition.
