Turkey Feather w/ Turquoise Bead
Description
A real barred turkey feather, about 10 to 12 inches long, with a turquoise bead at the quill end. It moves smoke where you want it instead of letting it drift, which is the whole job, and the natural curve of the feather does it better than your hand ever will. Sweep it over a doorway, around a person, or across an altar and the smoke follows.
Turkey feathers have been the fan of choice for smoke cleansing for a long time, partly because they are big enough to move real air and partly because the barring is beautiful and different on every feather. The bead at the quill gives you something to hold and a flash of blue against the brown. No two are alike.
How to Use It
Light your bundle or resin, let it catch, then use slow, steady strokes to push the smoke toward the corners of a room, over an object you are clearing, or down the length of someone's body from head to feet. Keep the feather clear of the ember.
