This herb carries authority and is often chosen when ritual integrity and intentional clearing are essential.
Plant Context
White sage thrives in arid environments and releases strong aromatic oils when burned. Its ability to purify and protect reflects its spiritual symbolism as a reset plant, clearing space so something new may enter. It has long been used in ceremonial settings, emphasizing respect and intentional use.
In the Hand
Broad silver-white leaves, thick and slightly sticky with resin, smelling green and sharply herbal. It smoulders slowly and holds an ember well.
Work with it
White sage is commonly used in smoke cleansing, ritual preparation, and space clearing. A focused way to work with it is to cleanse before spiritual work, setting clear intention for what is being released and what is invited in.
