Aphrodite's Sun Tea | The practice of Pleasure
Description
Aphrodite’s Sun Tea is a blend built around pleasure as a practice. The version that lives in warmth, in sweetness, in letting something be enough without needing to improve it. Aphrodite sits in the ability to receive, to soften, and to enjoy what’s already here.
Crafted with black tea and sun-ripened fruits, this blend carries a naturally lush profile, apricot and mango bring that full, golden sweetness, while black currant adds depth and a slightly tart edge that keeps it from feeling flat. Citrus peel lifts the entire blend, and cinnamon adds a subtle warmth that lingers just beneath the surface. When brewed in the sun, the flavors open slowly, creating a smoother, rounder cup that feels effortless and grounding at the same time.
This is a tea for slowing down enough to notice what feels good. To sit outside, to reconnect to your body, to let the moment land without rushing past it.
Properties
- Apricot & Mango – Associated with vitality, attraction, and sensory awareness. These fruits carry solar energy that supports confidence, magnetism, and enjoyment of the physical world.
- Black Currant – Brings depth and emotional richness, supporting connection, desire, and the willingness to feel more fully.
- Orange Peel – Linked to joy, creativity, and uplifting stagnant energy. It brightens both the blend and the mood.
- Cinnamon – Traditionally used for warmth, attraction, and amplifying intention. It adds a quiet spark beneath the surface.
- Black Tea (Camellia sinensis) – Grounding and energizing, helping anchor the body while keeping the mind alert and present.
Together, these ingredients create a blend that supports pleasure, confidence, and embodied presence, aligning with Aphrodite’s energy.
Sun Tea Method
Draw in the energy of the sun with this method! Fill a clear glass jar with 1 quart of filtered water. Add 1–2 tablespoons of tea, cover, and place in direct sunlight for 2–4 hours. The sun gently draws out the flavor, creating a smooth, low-bitter brew. Strain and pour over ice.
Optional: add fresh fruit or a touch of honey if you want to lean further into the sweetness.
Good to Know
Sun brewing creates a softer, more rounded flavor compared to hot steeping. Use clean glass and fresh water, and avoid brewing longer than 4 hours. Refrigerate after brewing and enjoy within 1–2 days.
