Herbal dressed tapers for the Norse goddess of love, war and magic.

Freyja is the one people underestimate because the love part gets listed first. She takes half of everyone who falls in battle to her own field, Folkvangr, where her hall Sessrumnir stands, and Odin gets what is left. She is also the one who brought seidr to the Aesir, the magic of seeing and shaping what is coming, and she taught it to Odin himself.

She rides a chariot pulled by cats, weeps gold, and owns the necklace Brisingamen. Nothing about her is soft, and nothing about her apologizes for wanting things.

What You Are Getting

Six inch taper, about five hours of burn in still air. Sold as a pair. These are dressed with herbs on the outside of the wax, so the color runs differently from batch to batch and yours will not match the photograph exactly.

Safety

Dressed candles carry dry herb on the wax and they can flare. Keep the flame in sight, set the candle in a holder that catches drip on a heatproof surface, and keep it away from drafts, curtains, children and pets. Trim the wick to a quarter inch before each burn. Never leave it burning unattended.
