Molten Glass Candle In Natural Wood

Molten glass poured directly onto a natural wood base and left to find its own shape. The glass pools, runs, and grips the grain as it cools, which is why no two of these come out the same and why the maker cannot really plan them. What you get is a record of how that particular pour behaved.

Approximately 7.5 by 6.25 inches. It takes a pillar candle.

Ways to Use It

It is a fire element piece, so it earns a place on a working altar as well as a mantel. The wood keeps it warm rather than clinical, which suits a room where you actually practice rather than a room you photograph. It reads equally well holding an unlit candle as an object in its own right.
