House Cleansing Spiritual Water

White sage cleansing water in a 7.5 ounce spray bottle. Mist it rather than burning anything.

The honest case for this is practical before it is spiritual. You are not burning a sage bundle in a rental with a hardwired smoke alarm, or in a hospital room, a hotel, an office, a dorm, a car, or a house with a baby or somebody with asthma in it. Some of that is rules and some of it is courtesy, and the result is the same: there are a lot of rooms where smoke is not an option. A spray works in all of them.

It is also better for the parts of a cleansing that smoke is bad at. Smoke drifts and settles wherever the air takes it. A spray goes exactly where you point it: across a threshold, into the corners of a closet, over a secondhand object before it comes in the house, along the sill of a window you keep dreaming about.

Use it after an argument, after a stranger has been in the house, before you set up for ritual, or on a day that has gone wrong and you want a line drawn under it. A few mists in each corner, working from the back of the house toward the front door, is the usual method.

Our white sage comes from a family farm in California that grows it rather than wildcrafts it. That matters more than people realize: white sage is not an endangered species, but wild populations have been hit hard, roughly half of them lost to development and the rest under real poaching pressure, with seizures running to hundreds of pounds at a time. Cultivated sage takes none of that. If a shop cannot tell you where theirs comes from, that is worth noticing.

If you are flying with it, this bottle is well over the 3.4 oz carry-on limit, so it goes in checked luggage. A dried sage bundle, for what it is worth, is allowed in either bag.
