Hand Carved Wooden Incense Burner Box - Sun & Moon

A hand carved wooden incense burner box, twelve inches long, in dark Indian rosewood with a sun and a moon worked into the lid. Lay up to four sticks or cones inside, close it, and the smoke rises through the diamond cut-outs while the ash stays in the box instead of on your altar cloth.

Made by hand in India in the classic coffin style, with carving you notice from across the room. Rosewood is dense and dark, and it takes fine carving well. We like a tool that looks good when it is off duty, and this one does.

How to Use It

Light your stick or cone, lay it on the floor of the box, and close the lid. The cut-outs pull the smoke up and out in thin threads, which is half the pleasure. One stick scents a room; four will fill it.
